Please read these instructions before registering for the Mississippi River 10 Race and Tour:

  1. We have a new registration system through webscorer.com.

  2. The most important thing to know is that registration is BY BOAT and NOT by individual. One person (the ‘team captain’) needs to register and pay for everyone who will be in the boat. The first question you ask in the registration process will be “Who are you registering”? If you are a registering yourself in a solo category, choose “Yourself”. If you are registering a tandem, 3-person team or 4-person team, choose “Team”.

  3. You will get an email receipt after you register and it will tell you your ‘bib’ number–we don’t use bibs; this number will serve as your BOAT number that you must display on both sides of your boat. You must use the boat number you are assigned.

  4. Shuttle is optional; here's how it works (see note for tandem and 3/4 person teams below):

Drop your boat and teammates (if any) at Babcock Park in Elk River between 9:15am and 9:45am. Register for the race or leave a teammate to do so for you.

Drive to Mississippi Crossings in Champlin (about a 20 minute drive): make sure to leave by 9:45am

Find a parking spot, then board the shuttle at 10:15am. The shuttle bus will leave at 10:30am. Shuttle will be in the parking lot closest to the amphitheater.

Note for tandem and 3/4 person teams: All of you can take the shuttle or you can leave one or more people at the race start while one or more drive to the finish to catch the shuttle.

  5. 1Mississippi is the Title Sponsor of the Paddle Weekend. They advocate for the Mississippi River in innumerable ways, one of which is through their River Citizen community. There is no cost to become a River Citizen, and you’ll receive e-newsletters and updates which offer events, activities and actions you can take to help protect the river. As part of your registration for the Paddle Weekend you will be asked two questions about 1Mississippi for each person on your team: 1) would you like to become a  River Citizen? (answering yes means we will share your email with 1Mississippi to sign you up) and 2) would you like to make a tax-deductible donation, in any amount, in support of this organization?

The Minnesota Canoe Association is one of the pre-eminent paddling organizations in Minnesota, and organizes various paddle events throughout the year. They are our 2024 “Community Growth Sponsor” and are also sponsoring the Family and High School Challenges. Become a member of the MCA and learn more by clicking here: MCA
